People have been gaming for many years, but now with life being lived at such a fast pace some people down have the time to sit down and play on their consoles. But I think this has been rectified now with some of the popular console games now crossing over to mobile gaming. There are 3 games that I think have crossed over well into mobile games.
The first one is F1 2016, I covered this game briefly in a previous post and I feel the same about the mobile app. F1 2016 is great in small doses but as with the console game it can get tedious just go around the track lap after lap, race after race but for a mobile game the graphics are great and the controls are easy to use as you just tilt the device to steer the car. The gameplay is limited so there is no Story mode meaning you can’t create your own character and work your way through the teams to the top, you can race in the championship season but its with a current racer and their team also the lap count and qualifying are set at a standard amount and there are no practice sessions, which does help to speed you through a few races before getting a bit bored but that being said its still a great game to chill and play while your away from the console.
The second game is actually 2 games, its Injustice Gods Among Us and Injustice 2. I have only managed to play Injustice 1 on the console currently and I must say it was very good, unsurprisingly the story was great and the graphics and gameplay are seamless. When it was crossed over to the mobile platform unfortunately it lost its story mode meaning you were left only being able to battle online and in the campaign which consists of just battling team after team till you get to the boss with no clear structure at all apart from the fights getting harder and harder. While you work your way through the fights you level up and increase your roster of heroes and villains until you have the best ones and win everything basically. Now with Injustice 2, they have had a better crack at it the second time around, I have been unable to play it on a console as of yet but just from playing the mobile version I can’t wait to get on it. The mobile game this time does include a story mode with great cinematics and cut scenes to aid the story, the rest of the game follows suit with the first one, Gaining characters leveling them up and playing the campaign and online battles. The only other differences are that you can collect XP and gold by doing side missions such as resource fights and operations where you send off your characters for a set time and level them up. All in all both games are great with Injustice 2 claiming top prize out of the 2 just for retaining the story mode, and I can’t wait to play it on console!!
Finally, we come to the best crossover I think which is Fortnite. Yes, I did rip on Fortnite a bit in a previous post but I do believe with the crossover to mobile they have done very well. The main reason its so good is there is no change to the gameplay its the same as you would get on the console, you can do duos, squads or just stick with solo. On the mobile app you get all the same updates as the consoles but obviously, the controls are a lot different with the fact you don’t have a controller but don’t worry you can still Floss and dance away till your heart’s content. I still feel that the game is over updated and they have changed it too much but with the mobile app I feel it has somewhat levelled the playing field for users that aren’t as good on consoles as others, with the change of controls I think it definitely gives them a better chance at getting that Victory Royale! The crossover to mobile is definitely one of Epic games best updates for the game which is why I think it turned out to be one of the more successful games to do it.
If there are any other games you think I should check out on mobile then please email me or pop me a message on social media, but if preferred you can leave a comment below.
